NanoSight Pro System
Equipment Introduction
The NanoSight Pro is part of the NTA family (Nanoparticle Tracking Analysis). It is a laserbased, light scattering system which provides an easy-to-use, reproducible platform for specific and general nanoparticle characterization. Particles suspended in a liquid are loaded into the laser module sample chamber and viewed in close proximity to the optical element. The NanoSight Pro illuminates suspended particles using a specially aligned and focused laser beam. This allows extremely small particles to be observed directly and individually by specially configured optics and a high sensitivity camera. The Brownian motion of all visible particles is tracked simultaneously. The NanoSight Pro can analyze all types of nano and bio particles in a liquid suspension from 10 nm to 1000 nm depending on instrument configuration and sample type. It provides information about size distribution, concentration, polydispersity and fluorescence. The laser module contains a Peltier device, allowing the sample temperature to be controlled. This is fully programmable using the NS Xplorer software suite. The supplied Low Volume Flow Cell (LVFC) and installed tubing allow the use of all non-flammable, water-based solvents with neutral pH.
