Single Channel Automated Patch Clamp
Equipment Introduction
The Nanion Port-a-Patch is a single measurement patch clamp device. Manual liquid handling is combined with computer-controlled pressure regulation allowing for automated cell capture, sealing, and whole cell access. For continuous extracellular perfusion a temperature-controllable flow chamber is available with an exchange time of around 150 ms. Due to its unique design, it is also possible to conduct experiments with continuous intracellular perfusion using the Intracellular Perfusion Chamber. A temperature control system to conduct experiments at physiological temperature or to apply temperature steps is also available.
