Biofoundary

Equipment Introduction
The biofoundry is centered around a liquid handling workstation and a track-based robotic arm. It integrates an acoustic liquid handling system, a shaking incubator, a fragment analyzer, a quantitative PCR machine, a multifunctional plate reader, a plate washer, a liquid dispenser, a PCR machine, a plate sealer, a plate peeler, a refrigerated centrifuge, a consumables stacker, as well as a positive pressure module and a rapid transfer track. Working in conjunction with a high-throughput microbial clone screening system, it achieves full automation of gene assembly, molecular cloning, and protein expression experiments, meeting the platform's need for high-throughput experiments. This system can satisfy the requirements of directed enzyme evolution, tool enzyme screening, strain modification and screening in the field of synthetic biology. By assembling biological components or through other means, it generates a large number of mutant strains, and screens for different target strains based on varying needs. The system has advantages of a high degree of automation, high level of digitalization, low operating costs, and high potential for industrialization.
